about me: in third person
Born and raised in San Diego, Baja California by a pair of brave and beautiful Mexican Immigrants, Chikle began screen-printing in 1995 while in High School. His work began as a response to a society and system that censors propaganda that is anti-war and anti-establishment. He takes a bold leap into flipping socio-political messages through designs that exhibit humor, diversity, language and a myriad of other messages that either unnerve the viewer or challenge to see beyond the myths that we are living.

As an emerging artist he has exhibited his work at the ICE Gallery, the San Diego Art Institute, the VozAlta Project, Centro Cultural de la Raza, 24K Gallery, San Diego Repertory Theatre, the Sol Collective, UCSD’s Cross-Cultural Center, and a “Tribute to Frida” show in Mede, Italy (Pavia).
